The Fatah Central Committee Member and Head of the General Authority of Civil Affairs, Minister Hussein AlSheikh, met today, Wednesday, with the EU Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, Mr. Sven Koopmans, and his accompanying delegation.
Several points were raised during the meeting, including the latest political developments on the Palestinian arena and the region, and the need for Europe to come forth with an initiative that will revive the political process and produce a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue in accordance with international legitimacy, and the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
