PLO’s Secretary-General discusses latest political developments with Greek Consul General in Jerusalem
The Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the PLO, Hussain al-Shaikh discussed today the latest political developments on the Palestinian issue at all levels, locally and globally, with the Greek Consul General in Jerusalem, Evangelos Vlioras.
They discussed the continuous attacks by Israeli settlers and their terrorism on Islamic and Christian holy sites, especially in Jerusalem, which would impede the two-state solution.
They further discussed the need for a political horizon that will put an end to the occupation and would lead to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The PLO official expressed his high appreciation for the bilateral and historical relations between the State of Palestine and Greece.
For his part, Vlioras affirmed the strong historical friendship between Greece and Palestine, stressing his country’s position in support of the two-state solution in accordance with United Nations resolutions and international legitimacy.
