Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh, warned today that calls by far-right Israeli Jewish organizations to break into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound en masse during Hanukkah aim at dividing the holy site between Muslims and Jews.
Al-Sheikh held the Israeli occupation government fully responsible for the consequences of this development, saying: “The Arab and Islamic worlds, and the international community, must assume their responsibilities towards the holy city.”
