Al-Sheikh received the British Minister of State for the Middle East
Today, Wednesday, I received the British Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and United Nations at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office – His Excellency Lord Tariq Ahmed.
We stressed the need to stop the humanitarian catastrophe that is occurring in the Gaza Strip today, with the death toll of the war approaching nine thousand martyrs, and on ways to calm down and immediately end the ongoing aggression against the Strip before the war expands to the countries of the region, and the urgent need to provide safe corridors for humanitarian aid to its residents, and to secure crossings to rescue and treat the injured.
His Excellency the Lord emphasized the equal value of human life on both sides, and the position of the British Kingdom in support of a political path that guarantees security, calm and stability in the region on the basis of the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy.
