Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh Welcomes European efforts to release Palestinian clearance funds

Ramallah – 24 June 2026 – In a statement issued today, Wednesday, His Excellency Hussein Al Sheikh, Vice President of the State of Palestine, welcomed the European efforts aimed at releasing the Palestinian clearance revenues withheld by the occupation government.

Al Sheikh commend the efforts made to close this file amidst the suffocating financial and economic crisis facing the State of Palestine, emphasizing that the release of these funds has become an urgent necessity to alleviate the burden on our national institutions and enable them to continue providing essential services to our people, and strengthen our citizens’ resilience in the face of current challenges.
