Today, Thursday, I met with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the State of Palestine, Mr. Gocha Buachidze, where we exchanged views on the latest political developments and bilateral relations, and I informed him of the latest regional developments.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Al-Safadi, received today the Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the PLO, Hussein AlSheikh, within the framework of the continuous coordination and consultation process between the Kingdom of Jordan and the State of Palestine.

AlSafadi and AlSheikh discussed the efforts made to stop the deterioration in the occupied Palestinian territories, and to find a real political horizon to relaunch serious and effective negotiations to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, in a way that embodies the independent and sovereign Palestinian state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with occupied Jerusalem as its capital, so that it can have security and peace alongside Israel based on international legitimacy resolutions and approved references.

AlSafadi and AlSheikh stressed the need to stop the illegal Israeli measures that undermine the chances of achieving peace. They also warned of the danger of the continued absence of real movement to resolve the conflict on the basis of the two-state solution.

Today, I met with Norway’s Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, HE Ambassador Hilde Haraldstad.

Where we discussed the close relationship between the two countries and thanked the Kingdom of Norway for its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and the two-state solution, and briefed her excellency on the latest political developments in the Palestinian, regional and international arena, stressing the need to pressure Israel to respect and apply international legitimacy.

During the meeting, we discussed the strong bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Palestine were emphasized, and aspects of cooperation between the two brotherly countries were discussed.

Al-Sheikh called on the American administration to put forward a creative political initiative based on international legitimacy and signed agreements, and to create a political horizon that leads to serious negotiations to end the Israeli occupation.

Al-Sheikh told Al-Hurra that during his recent meeting with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Palestinian-Israeli Affairs, Andrew Miller, he told DAS that what is required of the US administration is to exert serious and effective pressure to force Israel to stop all its unilateral measures, and this is what the Israeli goverment signed on in Aqaba and Sharm el-Sheikh and repudiated it.

The Sheikh also called on the United States to classify the Jewish organizations that call for and practice killing against the Palestinians as terrorist organizations and to include them on the lists of international terrorism.”

We call on the international community and international institutions to consider the party of the terrorist Itamar Ben Gvir as a terrorist party due to its personal and partisan history of inciting the killing of Palestinians, and even the fact that a member of his party yesterday shot and killed a Palestinian citizen in the village of Burqa, Ramallah district. He should be included in the international terrorist lists.

Today, I received an American delegation headed by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Mr. Andrew Miller.

I briefed their delegation on the political developments, and asked them to put pressure on the Israeli government to stop all unilateral measures and find a political horizon that leads to ending the occupation and to implement international legitimacy.

I have also emphasized the Israeli side’s non-compliance with the outputs of Aqaba and Sharm el-Sheikh and their continuation of the settlement policy, home demolitions and displacement, which undermines the two-state solution, which is one of the principles of the current US administration.

The Palestinian-American bilateral issues were discussed, and how to bypass the unfair laws against the Palestinians in the US Congress.

There was also talk about the financial crisis of the Palestinian Authority in light of the cessation of US support and the continuation of Israeli deductions for the PA’s funds.

In turn, Mr. Miller expressed the necessity of resuming the strategic dialogue with the US administration and working to resolve outstanding bilateral issues, and praised the Palestinian efforts exerted to stabilize the region.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Nabil Abu Irdeneh on the Palestinian side.

We welcome the decision of the Portuguese Parliament, which recognizes the catastrophe that befell the Palestinian people in 1948, as a step towards recognizing Palestinian rights.

We call on all European countries to recognize the State of Palestine on the borders of June 4, 1967, to protect the two-state solution in the face of the policy of settlement, transfer and apartheid practiced by the occupation government, which is murdering the two-state solution.
