I met with the representative of Germany to the Palestinian Authority, Mr. Oliver Owcza, and we discussed the latest political developments, the support of the Munich Quartet for the necessity of a serious and effective political path between Palestinians and Israelis.

He stressed Germany’s position in support of stopping unilateral measures to maintain calm and stability, and create an appropriate climate for negotiations between the two parties.

We call on the Israeli government to stop all its escalatory measures against Palestinian prisoners and attempts to harass them and impose harsh and difficult life conditions that go beyond international conventions and norms.

We affirm that these measures will have reactions all over the country, and we call on international bodies and institutions to intervene immediately.

The roots of the Palestinian people, history and civilization on this land are older than the age of Smotrich and his ancestors. Occupation, colonialism, racism, killing and displacement create a false narrative, but it does not erase a historical fact.

We are surprised that this criminal racist is still being received in the capitals of some countries of the world.

Hussein al-Sheikh, Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), said today that there has has been progress in some issues and tracks following the Egyptian Red Sea resort city of Sharm al-Sheikh, which was held yesterday.

Al-Sheikh took it to his official Twitter account to say that some “there are still some outstanding and disputed files.”

“The Sharm AlSheikh negotiations were characterized by difficulty in the face of the Palestinian delegation’s firm position by refusing to engage in any security or economic path before reaching a political agreement where Israel is committed to stopping all unilateral measures,” he tweeted.

“There has been progress in some issues and tracks, and there are still some outstanding and disputed files,” the PLO official concluded.

The meeting at the Egyptian resort town is a follow-up to last month’s meeting at the Jordanian Red Sea port city of Aqaba attended by the Palestinian Authority, Jordan, Egypt, Israel and the United States, which discussed easing the tension in the occupied Palestinian territories following Israel’s large military escalation into the Palestinian cities that so far resulted in the killing of 86 Palestinians, including 18 children, two elderly men, and one woman, and the injury of many others.

While participants in the Aqaba meeting agreed to take steps to calm down the situation before the advent of the holy Muslim fast month of Ramadan, expected to start on Thursday, tension nevertheless remained high in the occupied Palestinian territories as Israel continued in its almost daily raids and killing of Palestinians.

We welcome the call of the European countries, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and Britain, and their request from the occupying power to stop promoting the 7,000 settlement units in the West Bank.

We welcome the international reactions to the statements of the terrorist Smotrich, and we demand that words be translated into action, through international protection for our people from the oppression of the occupiers and herds of settlers, and the implementation of international legitimacy decisions and forcing the occupation government to stop its continuous aggressive measures of incursions, settlements, killings, and others.

We call on the US administration not to receive the terrorist minister, Smotrich, after his recent statements to wipe out the town of Howara from existence, and his repeated calls for terrorism and violence against the Palestinians.

We welcome the statement of the US State Department, which considered the statements of the terrorist Smotrich to wipe out Howara as irresponsible, disgusting, and calls for violence.

I met today with the representative of the European Union to Palestine, Mr. Sven Kon von Burgsdorff, and his accompanying delegation. We discussed many regional and international issues, and the latest field developments in the West Bank and Jerusalem especially what is happening today of brutal attacks against the Palestinian people, including killing and burning homes by the occupation and settlers, the latest of which was in Nablus and Howara.

I stressed the need for immediate intervention to stop the unilateral measures taken by the Israeli government, and its daily violations and denial of the signed agreements.

And I called on the EU and the international community to provide protection for the Palestinian people from this brutality and this crime that threatens the lives of citizens at every moment

We welcome the PRST, which condemned the unilateral Israeli measures and demanded that they stop and abide by the agreements signed between the two parties the international legitimacy.
