Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh discusses with Miladinov ways to move to the second phase of Trump’s plan

Ramallah – 09/01/2026 – His Excellency Hussein Al Sheikh, Vice President of the State of Palestine, received Mr. Nickolay Mladenov and his accompanying delegation at his office in Ramallah on Friday, in the presence of HE the Director of the General Intelligence Service Majed Faraj, HE Dr. Majdi Al-Khalidi, and the Chief of Staff of the Vice President Mrs. Ayah AlMuhisin.

During the meeting, an in-depth discussion took place on all political and field developments in the Palestinian territories, with a focus on the situation in the Gaza Strip, means of transitioning to the second phase, mechanisms for implementing the U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan, and UN Security Council Resolution 2803.

The meeting also addressed the current situation in the West Bank, including the escalation of settlers’ attacks and violence against Palestinian citizens and their properties, the Israeli security, economic, and financial measures, and their dangerous repercussions on the humanitarian and economic conditions, as well as ways to address them in the upcoming phase.




Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh discusses latest developments with Blair following UN Security Council resolution

Ramallah – 23/11/2025 – In his office in Ramallah, the Vice President of the State of Palestine, H.E. Mr. Hussein Al Sheikh, discussed with Mr. Tony Blair and a representative of the US government the latest developments related to the day after phase following the issuance of the UN Security Council resolution, in addition to addressing the issues linked to the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and the fundamental requirements for achieving the right to self-determination and the statehood.

Al Sheikh commended the efforts of President Trump and all the mediators and partners—Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, the United States, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, and the partners from the European Union and its member states— in consolidating the ceasefire, facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid, reconstruction, and moving toward the making of peace, security, and stability.

The meeting was attended by H.E. the Head of the General Intelligence Service, Major General Majed Faraj; the President’s Advisor for Diplomatic Affairs, Dr. Majdi AlKhalidi; and the Presidential Spokesperson, Mr. Nabil Abu Rudainah.




Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh received a delegation from the Party of European Socialists (PES)

Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh received a delegation from the Party of European Socialists (PES) on Tuesday, headed by the party’s Vice President and Member of the European Parliament Nora Mebarek, along with Secretary General Giacomo Filibeck, Member of Parliament and former Italian Minister Peppe Provenzano, and Deputy Secretary General Yonnec Polet.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest political developments in the region, particularly in the Gaza Strip. Vice President Hussein Al Sheikg stressed the need to ensure a permanent ceasefire and to allow the entry of humanitarian aid, also warned of the escalating Israeli measures in the West Bank, and emphasized the importance of preserving the unity of the geopolitics of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Al Sheikh also appreciated the recognition of the State of Palestine by several European countries, describing it as a progressive step that contributes to preserving and protecting the two-state solution and international legitimacy, also extended the gratitude to the PES delegation for their supportive positions toward the Palestinian people.

Today, Vice President of the State of Palestine Mr. Hussein Al Sheikh met with British Consul General, Ms. Helen Winterton, and with a delegation from the Permanent Joint Headquarters of the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense, headed by the Chief of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Nick Perry in two separate meetings. During both meetings, they raised the latest challenges facing the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip as a result of the escalating Israeli measures and policies, the urgent need to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and to solidify the ceasefire. Al Sheikh highlighted the importance of preserving the geographic unity of the Palestinian territories (the West Bank and the Gaza Strip). Regional and international efforts to rebuild the Gaza Strip were also discussed. At the conclusion of both meetings the Palestinian Vice President commended the British role in supporting the Palestinian people, appreciating the United Kingdom’s recognition of the State of Palestine, and affirmed that this step contributes to preserving and protecting the two-state solution, and that its a victory for international legitimacy, and contributes to maintaining regional security and achieving peace.




Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh meets with Martin Schulz, President of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Foundation (FES)

The Vice President of the State of Palestine, Mr. Hussein Al Sheikh, met with Mr. Martin Schulz, President of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Foundation (FES), and Dr. Sabine Fandrych, the Foundation’s Secretary-General, accompanied by Ms. Anke Schlimm, Head of the German Representative Office in Ramallah, in the presence of Advisor Rislan Shibrahim.

During the meeting, they discussed the major challenges facing our Palestinian people amid Israel’s ongoing measures in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, stressing the urgent need to allow the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza. He added that the unilateral Israeli measures include the withholding of clearance revenues, demolition of homes, uprooting of trees, settler violence, incursions into West Bank cities, and the confiscation of lands and properties, among others.

Al Sheikh also expressed Palestine’s pride in its historical relations with Germany and the strong ties between the Palestinian and German peoples.

Al Sheikh emphasized the importance of maintaining the ceasefire, praising the international, European, and Arab efforts being exerted in this regard.

He underlined the need for recognizing the State of Palestine, as such recognition serves to protect the two-state solution, stressing that this recognition represents a victory for international legitimacy and international law, especially at a time when Israel’s daily actions aim to destroy the two-state solution and undermine prospects for peace.

The German delegation reaffirmed their commitment to the two-state solution, and stressed the importance of ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid the people in Gaza and launching the reconstruction process.




Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh discusses with Blair ways to ensure the success of President Trump’s initiative to end the war

Amman, October 12, 2025 – Vice President of the State of Palestine Hussein Al Sheikh met with Tony Blair on Sunday to discuss the day after the war and efforts aimed at making President Trump’s efforts which aim at stopping the war and establishing lasting peace in the region a success.

Al Sheikh confirmed his readiness to work with President Trump, Mr. Blair, and the partners to consolidate the ceasefire, the entry of aid, the release of hostages and prisoners, and then start with the recovery and reconstruction.

Al Sheikh also stressed the importance of stopping the undermining of the Palestinian Authority, and especially the return of the withheld Palestinian revenues and preventing the undermining of the two-state solution in preparation for a comprehensive and lasting peace in accordance with international legitimacy.

Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh discusses latest political and security developments with chiefs of the security services

Ramallah – 21/09/2025 – By the mandate of HE Mr. President Mahmoud Abbas, and in the presence of HE the Prime Minister, HE Major General Haj Ismail, HE the Minister of Interior Ziad Hab alRih, the Attorney General, and the chiefs of the security services, the Vice President of the State of Palestine, Mr. Hussein Al Sheikh, held a meeting on Sunday evening to discuss the latest political and security developments in light of the Israeli escalation in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, as well as the ongoing aggression in the Gaza Strip.

The meeting also addressed the challenges facing our cause and our people as a result.

The attendees also highlighted the significance of the recent international recognitions of the State of Palestine, which are considered a victory for our people’s national rights and for justice, peace, and security in the region.

In accordance with the instructions of HE Mr President Abbas, plans were drawn up to strengthen the steadfastness of our people in their homeland and to ensure their security and protection.




Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh meets with French Consul General to discuss developments at New York conference

Ramallah – 18/09/2025 – The Vice President of the State of Palestine, Mr. Hussein Al Sheikh, met today, Thursday, with the French Consul General, Nicolas Kassianides, to discuss the latest developments regarding the joint French–Saudi efforts to hold the international conference for the recognition of the State of Palestine on the 1967 lines, scheduled to be held on the 22nd of this month in New York City.

During the meeting, Al Sheikh emphasized the importance of intensifying international efforts to ensure the success of this conference, considering it a pivotal political milestone in strengthening recognition of the Palestinian people’s right to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, emphasizing that French and Saudi support constitutes a fundamental pillar in achieving this goal.




Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh discusses a range of mutual issues with the Qatari Prime Minister

Doha, Sunday, September 7, 2025 – Vice President of the State of Palestine Hussein Al Sheikh met with H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, as part of his official visit to Doha.

During the meeting, they discussed relations between the State of Palestine and the State of Qatar and ways to strengthen our existing cooperation, in addition to the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

The Vice President conveyed to H.E. the Prime Minister the greetings of H.E. President Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the State of Palestine, to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, and his wishes for His Highness continued health and well being , and for the State of Qatar further progress and prosperity.

The Vice President emphasized that the urgent priority is to halt the aggression against the Gaza Strip and to ensure the immediate, safe, and sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid to alleviate the catastrophic suffering faced by the people in Gaza.

During the meeting, they also discussed the efforts and momentum being built for the recognition of the State of Palestine at the upcoming conference on 22 September in New York, which will strengthen the political process and restore the rights of the Palestinian people.

His Excellency expressed his deep appreciation for the steadfast positions of the State of Qatar in supporting the Palestinian cause, stressing the importance of accumulating regional and international efforts in this regard.
