Al-Sheikh denies the PA is moving toward abolishing Prisoners’ Payment system

The Head of the General Authority of Civil Affairs and Fatah Central Committee Member, Minister Hussein AL-Sheikh, wrote via Twitter on Thursday: “An Israeli minister said that the authority will stop paying payments to Palestinian prisoners, its incorrect. The Israeli gov deducts about 52 million NIS/month from Palestinian revenues because the PA insists on its commitment to pay its obligations to our heroic prisoners.”




AL-Sheikh: The PA has not received any financial loans from the Israeli Government

The Head of the General Authority of Civil Affairs and Fatah Central Committee Member, Minister Hussein AL-Sheikh, wrote via Twitter on Friday: “What was promoted by some media outlets confirming that the Palestinian Authority has taken a financial loan from the Israeli government, is not true. The PA did not take any.”




Al-Sheikh meets with the British Consul General

The Head of the General Authority of Civil Affairs and Fatah Central Committee Member, Minister Hussein AlSheikh, met with Her Excellency the British Consul General, Ms. Diane Corner, in his office in Ramallah on Tuesday.

Minister AlSheikh briefed the Consul General on the latest political developments on the Palestinian arena and the region. Ms. Corner, in turn, reaffirmed Britain’s steady support for the Palestinian people through building and backing Palestinian institutions, and making efforts to push bilateral relations forward.




Al-Sheikh: Bennett’s statements are a new challenge to the Biden administration

The Head of the General Authority of Civil Affairs and Fatah Central Committee Member, Minister Hussein AL-Sheikh, wrote via Twitter on Wednesday: “Bennett’s statements about the US consulate in East Jerusalem are a new challenge from the Israeli government to the Biden administration, which has already announced repeatedly its decision to open the US Consulate in East Jerusalem!!!.”




Al-Sheikh: “Palestinians never expelled anyone to be here”

The Head of the General Authority of Civil Affairs and Fatah Central Committee member, Minister Hussein AlSheikh, responded to Pompeo in a tweet: “7 million Palestinians live on this land, in addition to 7 million others who were expelled. They have never expelled anyone to be here, they inherited the land from their fathers and grandfathers.”

AlSheikh’s statement came in response to former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s claim that “Israel is not an apartheid country and it is not an occupying country.”




AlSheikh meets with the EUSR for the Middle East Peace Process

The Head of the General Authority of Civil Affairs and Fatah Central Committee member, Minister Hussein AlSheikh, received in his office in Ramallah yesterday, Sunday, the EU Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, Mr. Sven Koopmans and his team, to discuss the latest political updates in the region.

Minister AlSheikh stressed the need for Europe to crystallize an initiative to revive the political process and find a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause in accordance with international legitimacy, in a way that guarantees the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Minister called upon Europe to take a firm and serious stance towards the Israeli government to stop settlement expansion and the illegal confiscation of Palestinian land, especially after the announcement made by the Government of Israel to build 10,000 housing units in the Qalandia area north of Jerusalem.




Terrorism is the illegal occupation of Palestine

The Head of the General Authority of Civil Affairs and Fatah Central Committee member, Minister Hussein AlSheikh, said in a tweet that the occupation is the ugliest form of terrorism and not the establishment of a Palestinian state in accordance with international legitimacy.

AlSheikh posted on Twitter: “the continuation of the occupation of a land and people who have the historical and natural right to live in freedom, dignity, and independence is the real challenge to legitimacy. We are confident that this occupation will not last, and history will not be drawn by colonizers.”




AlSheikh: The announcement of ten thousand new settlement units in Qalandia kills the two-state solution
