I met with the representative of Germany to the Palestinian Authority, Mr. Oliver Owcza, and we discussed the latest political developments, the support of the Munich Quartet for the necessity of a serious and effective political path between Palestinians and Israelis. He stressed Germany’s position in support of stopping unilateral measures to maintain calm and stability, and create an appropriate climate for negotiations between the two parties.

We call on the Israeli government to stop all its escalatory measures against Palestinian prisoners and attempts to harass them and impose harsh and difficult life conditions that go beyond international conventions and norms. We affirm that these measures will have reactions all over the country, and we call on international bodies and institutions to intervene immediately.

The roots of the Palestinian people, history and civilization on this land are older than the age of Smotrich and his ancestors. Occupation, colonialism, racism, killing and displacement create a false narrative, but it does not erase a historical fact.
